Strength Audit
This service is designed for athletes who want a clearer, evidence-based understanding of the strengths they bring to training and competition. It combines two brief questionnaires with real performance examples, feedback and applied reflection, rather than relying on scores alone.
Before the first session, you will complete the assessments and a short Strength Audit Questionnaire. Across the three sessions, we will identify your core strengths, examine when they become easier or harder to access, and turn them into practical behaviours, cues and routines.
The Strength Audit is suitable before a new season, during a transition, or when you want to perform more consistently under pressure. It does not label you as mentally strong or weak.
KANNECT Sport and Exercise Psychology is an independent private practice operated by Wing Kan Chan.
Wing Kan Chan is a trainee sport and exercise psychologist who works within his current competence and receives professional supervision.

These Terms and Conditions apply specifically to the Strength Audit package.
The Strength Audit package costs £100 and includes:
Three 50-minute, one-to-one online sessions
A Strength Audit Questionnaire
Review of the questionnaire and relevant supporting information
Development of a personal Strength Profile
Identification of strengths that are underused, overused, or difficult to access
Strength-based cue words, routines, evidence, and if-then plans
A practical Strength Action Plan
Brief text support for reasonable questions directly connected to the package
Sessions normally take place through Google Meet.
The package is intended to help athletes and exercisers understand and apply their psychological strengths more deliberately across training, competition, recovery, communication, and pressure situations.
The Strength Audit provides sport and exercise psychology support. It is not:
Emergency or crisis support
Medical or psychiatric treatment
Clinical psychological therapy
Counselling
Physiotherapy or injury diagnosis
A substitute for support from a doctor or another appropriately qualified professional
KANNECT may decline or discontinue the package when the client’s needs fall outside its scope of practice. Where appropriate, the client may be encouraged to contact another professional or service.
If you or another person may be in immediate danger, contact the local emergency services. In the UK, call 999 or attend an emergency department.
Submitting the booking form and making payment constitutes a request to purchase the package. It does not automatically confirm that KANNECT has accepted the booking.
A contract is formed when KANNECT sends written confirmation that the Strength Audit package has been accepted.
KANNECT may decline a request where:
The service is not suitable for the client’s needs
The client requires support outside KANNECT’s professional scope
There is insufficient availability
KANNECT cannot lawfully or safely deliver the service in the client’s location
Required information or consent has not been provided
If KANNECT declines the request before providing any part of the service, the client will receive a full refund.
The total package price is £100.
Payment is collected or authorised through the payment provider shown during the booking process. KANNECT does not normally receive or store the client’s complete payment card details.
No additional payment is required when booking Sessions 2 and 3.
After the package is accepted, the client will receive a detailed Strength Audit Questionnaire.
The questionnaire may ask about:
Sporting or exercise experiences
Training and competition
Psychological strengths
Confidence and pressure
Previous challenges and setbacks
Feedback from other people
Relevant injury, disability, health, or wellbeing information
Situations in which strengths are easier or harder to access
Clients should answer honestly but only need to provide information that is relevant to the package.
The questionnaire must be completed by the deadline provided. Incomplete or late preparation may reduce the depth or usefulness of the Strength Audit.
KANNECT may begin reviewing the questionnaire and preparing personalised material before Session 1 where the client has requested that the service begin during the statutory cancellation period.
Clients may provide relevant materials such as performance notes, results, statistics, video clips, goals, routines, or feedback.
The client is responsible for ensuring they have permission to share information or material involving another person.
KANNECT may decide not to access or retain material that is unnecessary, inappropriate, excessively large, unsafe, or unrelated to the package.
Session 1 is booked through the main Strength Audit booking page.
Separate private booking links will be provided for Sessions 2 and 3. These links:
Are personal to the client
Must not be shared with another person
Do not require further payment
May only be used for the relevant package session
Once a session is booked, the client may use the rescheduling link in the confirmation email to move the appointment to another available future date.
Sessions may be rescheduled more than once, provided each change complies with the 72-hour notice requirement and the package completion period.
All three sessions should normally be completed within six months of the date the package is accepted.
KANNECT may extend this period where there are exceptional circumstances, such as significant illness, injury, caring responsibilities, or an agreed change to the client’s sporting schedule.
Unused sessions normally expire after the completion period unless an extension has been agreed in writing.
Clients may cancel or reschedule a session without losing it by providing at least 72 hours’ notice.
A session cancelled with less than 72 hours’ notice will normally count as one of the three package sessions because the reserved appointment may not be available to another client.
A missed appointment will normally count as a used package session.
KANNECT may make an exception where there are significant or unexpected circumstances. Any exception is considered individually and is not guaranteed.
A client who arrives late may receive a shorter session because the original finishing time will normally remain unchanged.
Consumers who purchase the package online will normally have 14 days from the date the contract is formed to cancel it without giving a reason.
To begin providing the package during that period, KANNECT will ask the client to expressly request early commencement. The service may include reviewing the questionnaire, preparing personalised material, communicating about the audit, or delivering a session.
If the client cancels during the 14-day period after requesting an early start, KANNECT may deduct a proportionate amount for work already provided. The client may lose the statutory right to cancel once the package has been fully delivered, provided the required express request and acknowledgement were obtained.
To cancel, email kannect.psychology@gmail.com with a clear statement that you wish to cancel the Strength Audit contract.
Where a refund is due, it will normally be issued through the original payment method within the legally required period.
After the statutory cancellation period has ended, package payments are not automatically refundable.
If the package ends early, KANNECT will consider any refund fairly, taking account of:
Sessions already delivered
Missed or late-cancelled sessions
Questionnaire review already completed
Personalised preparation or written material already provided
Any part of the package that KANNECT is unable to deliver
Any deduction will be proportionate to the service already provided and will not exceed the total amount paid.
These terms do not limit any statutory refund, repeat-performance, or price-reduction rights.
KANNECT may occasionally need to cancel or move an appointment because of illness, emergency, technical failure, or another circumstance outside reasonable control.
KANNECT will offer an alternative appointment wherever reasonably possible.
If KANNECT permanently ends the package and cannot provide the remaining service, the client will receive a fair refund for any part of the package that has not been delivered.
The client is responsible for:
Having a suitable internet connection and device
Joining from a private and reasonably safe location
Checking the meeting link and technology before the session
Using headphones where confidentiality may otherwise be affected
Informing KANNECT of relevant access or communication needs
Where a substantial technical failure prevents the session from taking place, KANNECT will act reasonably in deciding whether to continue, rearrange, or replace the session.
The usefulness of the Strength Audit depends partly on the client’s participation, preparation, openness, and willingness to test agreed strategies.
The client remains responsible for their decisions, actions, training, competition preparation, and use of any psychological strategy.
Clients should inform KANNECT if:
Their needs or circumstances change significantly
They become uncomfortable with an activity
A strategy appears unsuitable
They require additional support or referral
The package includes brief text support for reasonable questions directly related to the Strength Audit.
Text support:
Is not continuous or unlimited
Does not guarantee an immediate response
Is not intended for emergencies or crisis support
Does not replace a booked session
Must remain within appropriate professional boundaries
KANNECT may suggest that a complex matter is discussed during a session or through another appropriate service.
Information discussed during the package will normally remain confidential.
Relevant information may be discussed during confidential professional supervision. Where practicable, identifying details will be limited or removed.
Confidentiality may be limited where:
The client gives permission to share information
There is a serious concern about the safety of the client or another person
Safeguarding action may be required
Disclosure is required by law or a court
Information is required to investigate a complaint
Disclosure is reasonably necessary to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim
Where safe and appropriate, KANNECT will normally discuss a proposed disclosure with the client before sharing information. Professional confidentiality standards recognise that disclosure may sometimes be required for safeguarding or legal reasons.
Sessions will not be recorded as a standard part of the package.
KANNECT will only record a session where:
There is a clear and explained purpose
The client has given separate express permission
The client has been told how the recording will be used, stored, accessed, and deleted
Declining recording will not prevent the client from receiving the package.
Clients must not record a session without obtaining KANNECT’s prior agreement.
Clients under 18 may require involvement and consent from a parent or guardian before the package is accepted.
KANNECT will explain:
How the parent or guardian will be involved
What information may remain confidential
The circumstances in which information may need to be shared
How safeguarding concerns will be handled
KANNECT may decline the booking if appropriate consent, safeguarding information, or professional arrangements cannot be established.
KANNECT does not guarantee:
Improved sporting results
Selection
Increased playing time
Recovery from injury
A particular psychological or wellbeing outcome
That every identified strength will be effective in every situation
The Strength Audit is intended to support reflection, understanding, planning, and psychological skill development.
KANNECT will provide the service with reasonable care and skill.
KANNECT is responsible for losses that are reasonably foreseeable and directly caused by a failure to provide the service with reasonable care and skill.
KANNECT is not responsible for losses that:
Could not reasonably have been foreseen
Result from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the client
Result from decisions made independently by the client, coach, team, employer, or organisation
Are caused by circumstances outside KANNECT’s reasonable control
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricts the client’s statutory consumer rights. UK consumer law requires services to be performed with reasonable care and skill, and businesses cannot remove those rights through their terms.
Clients are encouraged to raise concerns directly with KANNECT so they can be considered promptly.
General and service complaints:
kannect.psychology@gmail.com
Complaints concerning professional practice may also be directed to:
aquartiroli@uwlax.edu
Privacy or data-protection complaints may also be made to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
The version accepted when the contract is formed will apply to that package.
KANNECT may update these terms for future clients. A material change affecting an existing package will not apply unless it is required by law or expressly agreed with the client.
Consumer terms must be clear, transparent, and fair. An unfair term is not binding on the consumer.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Clients living elsewhere retain any mandatory consumer protections that apply in the place where they live.

Information may occasionally be received from a parent, guardian, coach, practitioner, or another person where the client has agreed, or where disclosure is lawfully required for safeguarding or safety reasons.
Information is used to assess whether the Strength Audit is suitable, arrange appointments, take payment, and communicate about the package.
The normal lawful basis is taking steps at the client’s request before entering into a contract and performing the contract once accepted.
Information is used to review the questionnaire, prepare sessions, understand the client’s strengths, deliver psychological support, and develop agreed plans.
The normal lawful basis is performance of the contract.
Where the client chooses to provide health, injury, disability, or wellbeing information, KANNECT normally relies on:
Performance of the service contract as the Article 6 lawful basis
The client’s explicit consent as the Article 9 special-category condition
In limited situations, another lawful condition may apply, such as protecting vital interests, safeguarding, complying with a legal obligation, or handling legal claims.
Relevant information may be discussed within confidential professional supervision to support safe and competent practice.
KANNECT will limit identifying details where reasonably practicable. Health or wellbeing information will only be included where relevant and supported by an appropriate lawful basis and special-category condition.
Information may be retained and used for financial administration, safeguarding, complaints, insurance, legal claims, security, and compliance with applicable law.
Where a session is recorded, KANNECT relies on separate express consent. Recording is not required to receive the package.
Strength Audit information will not be used for marketing without separate permission.
KANNECT does not sell personal information.
Clients may withdraw consent for the processing of health or wellbeing information by emailing kannect.psychology@gmail.com.
Withdrawal does not affect processing that lawfully occurred before consent was withdrawn.
If relevant information can no longer be processed, KANNECT may be unable to continue the package safely or effectively. KANNECT will explain the available options before ending or changing the service.
KANNECT will normally keep client information confidential.

KANNECT uses third-party technology providers to operate the website, booking system, email, cloud storage, online meetings, and payments.
Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, KANNECT will rely on safeguards recognised under UK data-protection law, such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual transfer mechanisms.

A business Google Workspace account
Restricted Google Drive folders
Account access controls
Strong passwords and multi-factor authentication where available
